May 04, Stacy rated it it was ok. The pictures are great. I saw no benefit to the name Tippy Toes, which when repeated through out the book just didn;t make sense. This was an adorable book! I really loved the cut outs in the pages. I think the cut outs in the pages are a great way to keep students involved and wanting to read. The only thing I don't like about the cut outs are that they are easily ripped easier then pages. The pictures were very bright and colorful to also keep the students attention.

This book follows a cat that is always in the wrong places- whether it's scaring people, or getting people wet by shaking her hair. Finally in the end, she is welcomed by some friends. I thought that the story was interesting, and the half pages that you flipped to see the other side of the picture like underneath the blanket were fun.

I will definitley be using this book in my next Cat or Summertime storytime and will suggest it to parents looking for a bedtime story too. Betsy Lewin's oversize illustrations are fabulous as usual and her rhymes are short and sweet. A sweet story of the daily travels of kitty, Tippy Toes with equally sweet ending. Think: bedtime story. Sentimental note: I once had a kitty named Tippy Toes! Lovely illustrations typical of Betsy Lewin.

There were holes cut out of them and it the pictures were really fun. This is a book that kindergarten age kids would love.
