And now the big question with this boot is: Does it perform as great as its technology and marketing says it does? The answer I found is yes, but the dampening pods and rubber fins are not why. The reason to why this boot performs so well is because of the Kanga-Lite upper.
Through wear, the Kanga-Lite was extremely comfortable, and it felt like a glove on my foot. I would say that kangaroo leather will mold to your feet a little better, but the material used on this shoe is very high quality.
Because of how the boot forms to your foot, the touch on the ball is very good because you can really feel the ball well. As far as shooting goes, there are really no elements to improve shot power or curve, but the tight fit of the boot gives a nice clean surface to shoot off of.
Also, the carbon fiber gives a lot of support, and is very stiff so that no power is lost in your shot. Really, not many changes have been made to the original Maestri. The upper is still the same Kanga-Lite, and the concepts of the technology are mostly the same. The things that have been changed are positive, such as the suede heel liner, and there are no downfalls that occurred with the new release.
While the Elite version is very pricy, they are currently on sale due to the fact that Nike has stopped the Elite Series. If you want to get a pair, now is the time! I had a pair of ctr libretto for 8 months i don't know about the maestri and they are falling apart!
The outsole isn't glued to the sole of the shoe anymore, its frustrating because dirt get stuck between easily. I'm saying this as a goal-poacher i'm sick and tired of scuffing my shots! Bottow coner, bang! I was wondering if these cleats are narrow or wide. I have a narrow foot so alot of cleats are too wide. Just wondering before I bought! I love the control and touch they offer, passing and controlling a ball is so easy. Shooting is another story though, I can always get the ball where I want, but I never have the feeling that I'm really creating a powerful shot, because of the control pods.
Is there anyone else how has also experienced this? I have had these for a month and a half now and love these cleats but I am having the same problem that Matt mentions above. The glue holding the sole to the boot is coming apart.

Hey guys, i have these boots but in the world cup edition, i play attacking midfield for my sunday league team and scrum half for my 6th form rugby team and i have to say these boots are the best boots ive ever worn comfier than predators, provide a better touch than tiempos and as theyre elites there very light.
I can also confirm they dont affect your shot you will know when you hit the ball sweatly you can just feel it ive hit some sweet shots in these. Would defo reccomend them if you have the money as they are very comfy, durable and give you a great first touch, Finally these boots fit true to size so if you are a size 9 get a size 9! The Adizeros are lighter and better for speed players while the CTR is more suitable for playmakers. But you wont go wrong with either!
I haven't had the opportunity to review them, but hopefully we will have some players reviewing them on Cleatology. I've had my s the ones you reviewed for a while now and they are still good. I recently cleaned them with water and it came out really good looking brand new. The kangalight has really softened which i like a lot. Im wondering if I should get some leather protectant for the kanga-light or will it mess up the leather cause im not sure if its like normal kangaroo leather.
Bryan i was wondering since these arent actually real leather should you still clean them with a regular leather cleaner like chelsea leather food? Great boots. Very comfortable, great touch, good power, decently light. One negative I have had them for about 1 Varsity season and the bottom plate on both boots is falling apart.
Simple superglue fix stopped the problem. I was just suprised at how quick they fell apart. Simply using warm water and a rag does the trick! How would you compare the sizing of these to the nike vapor vs?

They were great the felt comfortable and really stayed water proof. The only thing was they lasted two and a half months. For dollars they should be lasting way more than half a season. Keeping them clean is the key to getting good life out of them. Order true to size, the Kanga-Lite leather won't stretch very much. It is a synthetic leather that mimics the look and feel of real leather without holding the exact same properties. These are pretty good shoes but the front plastic part is slowly starting to peel off after about 15 uses.
Also every time I wear them no matter the socks I get this deep cut in the back of my heel. The top of the leather heel that rests on the tendon on the back of your ankle just digs in and rubs.

Because the kanga-lite material will not stretch, you should have no problems with the shoe over-stretching. I have heard nor seen any problems with these shoes and would say that these shoes are definitely durable enough to last you the entire season.
These shoes actually do provide a fair amount of protection. With the memory foam pads on top of your foot, there is some padding should you get stepped on. The heel is also hard plastic, so kicks in the back of the heel should not hurt too badly. Because the shoe is so padded, the protection is there.
