What is the difference between titleist 905r drivers

Let me put it this way then. It produces a lot LESS backspin than my old driver did. Same loft, same clubhead weight, but I roll 20 yards with this club, my TourEdge stopped dead. Looking for something comparable in series, R, S or T. I dislike the Fuji Speeder. Suggestions on a ? Average driver distance has dropped from with the K to with the R. All I know is that the r is long. Very Long. With a Great Sound at Impact. And a Super Feel. I recently bought the Titleist R this club is amazing it has given me another yards on my drives and the even more amazing thing about this driver is that they are staying sraight.

I am just wondering why this driver is not mentioned in the Golfdigest Hotlists when it is one of the most used and the reviews are really good compared to some of the other drivers that are mentioned in that magazine. The E is a nice upgrade from a D with a little more size but the same neutral ball flight. The S is much larger than a and would take getting used to the size difference. Whats the difference between the Vforce shaft and the Fuji Speeder?

PS and The Vforce is more wobbly so if you hit stiif get X-stiff. I use a j-vs and really like it, but am looking to upgrade. I would like a little more distance and still be able to work the ball. I also like the heavier weight and have a swing speed of about Please help!!!!

Thanks Kevin, I Had my r for over 3 moths now and I have to say that its definetly a sweet hittin driver. But if your a player that have a problem with slice R and a Fuji shaft is the combination. I went to a demo and hit several drivers.

The winner without a doubt is the Cleveland hibore xl tour. My only complaint is the grip to slippery for me. Will have the new grip on tomorrow and be playing it this weekend. Happy duffing. I played with a friend who just bought his R, it has the proforce shaft on it. I hit it twice and had great results both times, felt great, sounded great. I decided that I needed one as my driver was 5 years old technology. I bought my R with the NV shaft.

With this setup I am having lots of trouble hitting this driver straight! At first I was slicing it pretty bad. Now after some range work I have straightened it out mostly but I am all over the place with it. Am I wrong to think that maybe this shaft is wrong for me? I have a slower less agressive type of swing. With my friends driver I had two plus drives, acorrding to GPS. Any help or suggestions appreciated. I am not a shaft wizard so I am lost right now.

I tee the ball low and hit it fairly straight. The R has solved a lot of those problems with consistency. The occasional bad hit will hook left. The pro at Golf Galaxy fitted me on a launch monitor with straighter, more consistent hits with the 8. Thank you Titleist! What kind of shaft is the graffalloy blue? I have an EI in my D and it is the best shaft I have ever hit.. Well, i really find your reviews very accurate and helpful, but i have a titleist R with a v2 75 gram shaft.

When i close the face well i kill it a good , but i feel like the shaft makes me slice. I just got my r, fujikara speeder stiff in the mail today after ordering it used from golfsmith. I truly fell in love with my pro trajectory f Recently got 9. Less able to work it and slight tendency to pull to left likely due to heel weighting, as well as higher trajectory due to higher loft and posterior center of gravity…may expalin the loss of distance.

Must adjust tee height significantly to avoid skyballs, but overall not bad. Both shafts can handle anything you give it, but the Diamana is smoother, and with the R head, not as long as the S.

Would be interesting to switch shafts one day. I bought a Titkeist R last summer. It was the best driver I had ever played. It was long and striaght. I had trouble working the ball. So i recently switched to a driver from Titleists sister company Cobra.

I am now playing the Cobra H-S9. I actually hit it longer than the Titleist and I can work the ball with it. For the money you will spend on the R you can get a driver that is longer and more workable in the Cobra H-S9. Really like this driver. Hi I used to use k and now i just got S. I have a question about S not R but i could not find any other place to ask, i figured alot of r users have used s. I am concered about the sound s makes, it is very loud compared to I get the similar sound to if i hit is little high and little on the toe.

When i hit dead center or little low it make loud tin can sound almost as loud as cobra drivers. I am not really sure if is just a louder driver or if mine is defective. Center hit feels like mis hit and mis hit feels like center hit compared to anyways. Any thoughts? My brother bought a R with a v2 65 yes 65 gm Stiff shaft in it last year. Yes I still have my Persimon Titleist driver in the basement. Graphite shafts are more expensive and you'll see this reflected in the RRP displayed.

This R driver is brilliant. You can feel the quality, and it sits perfect at address, with perfect balance and feel. One word: Keeper!! Service, and delivery from golfbidder is excellent, thank-you.

Bought this with the Aldila NV 65 shaft. Previously I was using a T with 9. The R is noticeably more forgiving and straighter. Both models have that characteristic muted but solid feeling, but in terms of feel I would give the nod to the T.

I had no major problems with my old Mizuno MP stiff 9 degrees. I'm happy with trajectory quite low and length of the hits. The reason for buying Titleist R stiff 9,5 deg. It's cc and I vas hoping a bit more forgiveness. And it worked out good. Normal shots keeps in control nicely. Ball flies now a bit higher and shot lengts are quite same, at least not longer, but about the same. Clubhead, shaft and grip were ranked 6 by Golfbidder. I changed the grip and now the club is not like new, but in very good condition for me.

He finished third less than a month later at the Chrysler Classic of Greensboro which vaulted him into the Top 30 on the money list. The new R launches one-half degree higher and spins approximately rpm more than the S. With an extensive selection of lofts and shafts, the S and R drivers are capable of optimizing the launch conditions of a wider range of serious golfers. The cc R features a square face angle and relatively shallow face depth which inspires a heightened level of confidence at set up.

With a complete menu of loft and shaft choices available through Titleist FittingWorks along with our advanced driver fitting methodologies, we can optimize the driving performance of top tour players, and competitive and aspiring serious golfers. CNC milled T-6 aluminum hosel tube reduces hosel mass and allows weight to be redistributed lower and deeper in the clubhead to optimize CG location and dynamic face closure.

Additional shafts available through Titleist Custom. Price and Availability: The new Titleist Pro Titanium R will begin shipping to golf shops on March 15, and is available in both right and left hand. For more information about the family of Titleist Pro Titanium drivers, shaft matrices and performance comparisons, please visit the Titleist Pro Titanium page at www. It is the first of the big-headed drivers that I have been able to shape right or left. I can tee it low and hit a cut or I can tee it high and hit a draw.
